The booklet has recipes, advice and top tips on making hallah with (or without) young children and has a basic dough recipe as well as festival hallot.
The film and booklet were prepared for a hallah making workshop run by Liz Ison as part of an early years training day at Finchley Reform Synagogue in November. We turned out three varieties of hallot – apple hallah, Biblical hallah made with the seven Biblical species and mini-choc-chip hallot. We shared the finished loaves with the rest of the delegates at lunch time.
